gov spending....

Victoria and Albert museum, National history museum, British museum , Tate modern museum are free. but it doesnt run by a group of volunteers. Every year the gov channeled abt £50million to each through the national lottery scheme.

6 May destined to be the parliament election day for Uk where a hung parliament seemed likely. Which is why the pound fall to all time low of 1 : 4.9 of malaysia ringgit. But the fear that British can no longer fund their gov debt is unsound as due to sterling interest rate fall to all time low, the gov only paying £2.4 bn, approx 4% of the budget to finance the interest.

So the problem are from the spending increase across all board of gov operation, and a falling revenue due to financial crisis.

If gov is a company the shareholder will fired its CEO if they failed to make profit. The problems is increasing more and more of the voters is becoming the beneficials of the gov spending, a conflict in interest as you seemed. Shall we implement a rule that no tax no voting , ( i.e, those receiving gov net beneficial over the pass gov period will be revoke their voting rights? )
