Windows 7 goes on sale for £30

MICROSOFT HAS ANNOUNCED that from 30th September copies of Windows 7 will be available for UK academics to pre-order and buy for just £30.

Good news, i have an ac.uk email account and would be eligible to buy the software at just 30 pound.

Question , as i already have a legitimate windows xp copy, whats the point of spending 30 pounds more? for a fancier interface? mayb....

but it seems that windows 7 has quite positive comment over vista, sort of well-worth upgrade.
